Valentino Rossi a well known Name when it comes to Motorsports.
Valentino Rossi is a 9-time World Champion., the only rider in history to win 125, 250, 500 and MotoGP World Championships, Rossi dominated MotoGP with first Honda and then Yamaha, taking the crown five times in a row until Nicky Hayden won the title in 2006.

Rossi owns the Sky Racing Team by name VR46, which campaigns in the Moto3 and Moto2 categories of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Following his father Graziano Rossi, he started racing in Grand Prix in 1996 for Aprilia in the 125cc category and won his first World Championship the following year. From there, Rossi moved up to the 250cc category with Aprilia and won the 250cc World Championship in 1999.

In 2000 he entered a new phase of his career when he joined forces with Honda in the 500cc class. He proved his worth once again by finishing second, before becoming the last ever 500cc World Champion in 2001. Rossi subsequently took the MotoGP World title in 2002 and 2003, before moving to Yamaha and winning it again in 2004 and 2005.

Rossi made history by moving to Yamaha in 2004 and winning the season-opening Grand Prix in South Africa, becoming the first rider in the history of the sport to win back-to-back premier class races for different manufacturers. He went on to win nine out of 16 races, finally clinching the World Championship title, Yamaha`s first for 12 years, with victory at the penultimate Grand Prix in Phillip Island.

He dominated the 2005 season, winning eleven races in total, taking five pole positions and only finishing off the podium once. In doing he became one of only five riders in the history of the sport to win the premier-class title on five occasions. He also helped Yamaha to win the Manufacturers’ and Team titles, ensuring Yamaha celebrated its 50th Anniversary with one of its best ever years in Grand Prix.

Rossi left Yamaha to join Ducati for the 2011 season, but it was confirmed in 2012 that he would rejoin Yamaha for the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Rossi suffered two win less seasons while at Ducati.

Rossi came close to winning the 2015 title after several years out of contention, leading the championship for most of the season only to lose out in the final round to his Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. The end of that season was marred with controversy following Rossi having a coming together on track with Marc Márquez, resulting in the Spaniard crashing, as such Rossi was given a grid penalty for the final round and accused Márquez of deliberately trying to harm his championship, something Márquez repeatedly denied.

Rossi was runner up for three consecutive seasons 2014,2015,2016.

The 2017 season for valentino Rossi was not so good, struggled throughout, missed 2 of the races (one of which his home turf Mugello) following motorcross accident at his motoranch in Italy.  He finished 5th in the championship, the worst for him since 2011-12 with ducati.
